Centralized pneumatic vacuum systems for metal chips transport
Centralized pneumatic vacuum systems for metal chips transport
A simple and reliable high-speed technology that uses the force of suctioned compressed air to transport metal chips inside a pipeline network
To centralize chip transport when layout often changes, machine tools are so many and scattered across the workshop
over long distances
Ideal when...
- chips are short or chopped
- materials are soft and not too abrasive (e.g. AVP steel, brass)
- machines are many and not all aligned
- distances are long
- there is more than one material to be kept apart
Chips transport centralization benefits
- Ecology and healthier environments
- No more fumes of oil or of any other harmful substances
- Space optimization
- Complete automation without the need of any supervision
- No more carts under machine tools
- No more forklitis coming and going
- Big labour-savings
- No more contact between workers and metal chips
- Fully protected moving parts
- Electric interlocks in risky accesses
- Latest generation 5.0 remote electrical panels
- Maintenance alert on display
- Digital signal exchange with machine tools
- Cutting-edge digital diagnostics to prevent critical issues
- Full service and remote assistance services

How the pneumatic vacuum system works
The main concept of this system is based on the criterion of conveying short or dusty material by means of a flow of suctioned air that passes through a network of pipes in a few seconds thanks to the vacuum pressure generated by a suction pump.
Material is discharged from each machine into the underlying sub-machine unit that acts as a small accumulation buffer and connects the machine conveyor to the centralized system. When chips reach a certain level, the suction system is activated and the dosing screw transfers them to the suction point.

This transport process is activated by a rotary lobe aspirator which, thanks to the depression generated, is able to transfer chips by means of compressed air force through a network of pipes composed mostly of a series of down pipes that connect the sub-machine groups to the main tube.
